TIME — The progression

A brain churning question and the most complex word to comprehend.

For the one who lives out of their mind, time is just that particular moment where they see the things as they are! They live that moment. They’re not aware of past or future. It’s only PRESENT. They only see the reality without any bias or the judgement. I don’t feel they even think about something just because, if they have to think they need to get into their memories. Memory is just a past reality. So is time an existential reality?
For the ones who live in their mindscape, time has infinite dimensions. If a person is thinking, they’re in the past or if they’re are imagining or even visualizing about something they’re in future. There’s a whole lot of difference between thinking and imagination. Imagination deals only with future. Nobody can imagine the past, since the time has already been passed and it would be a “past reality”. If a person dwells either in past or future, then they’re not in sync with time. To add complexity to this theory, only their physical body is in reality at all times. What about their thoughts? It always lies in past or in the future. So is time a past or future or does time exist in our thoughts and imagination?
There is a proverb “Time is money”. Really? How stupid that is! If time belongs to one entity, then the whole universe wouldn’t have been the way it is right now. All other entities work in correspondence with time and it’s never the other way around.
To add more complexity, the time for two individuals are completely different. At the same moment, one person feels happy remembering something or doing something great or imagining something else. But another person leaving half a mile away, feels depressed and lonely! So, is time a feeling or an experience of an emotion at that moment?
For a person who is dead what is time? They have lost the ability to respond to their surroundings. It doesn’t matter what happens next, the person who is dead has already crossed his time. So, what is time?
We, as in human beings are having a huge cerebral capability. We have intelligence, thoughts, power to imagine etc. How do animals or any other living creature experience time? They do encounter day and night and they respond to nature as we do. Since they don’t have that cerebral capability to dwell into the past or the future, does it mean they live in the existential reality at all times?
In a space where we are living, we do have several non-living things lying around. Even these things flows with time. They too get aging and things will fade away as the time passes by. So what is time? Does it mean the non-living things are in sync with time?
Let’s say there are no living creatures on this planet. Do time exist? Definitely yes. Isn’t it? We are on the verge of time but time is independent whether we are in sync with it or not - It doesn’t wait for anybody. It keeps ticking!

So what is time?
